This is just a quick update for my personal journey with blackstrap molasses.
If you are new to this site, I discovered blackstrap just recently when I researched for natural ways to give my hair some love since it’s turning to gray with all the late nights, stress, coffee and stuff.
Am I a believer now? Damn right!
I’m 5 months in now and I have seen some pretty good results.
Yeah, sure, I still have some visible gray hair showing on the side but it’s ok. It takes months to lose those hair. I’ve committed myself to drinking this for at least 1 year so I can see for myself anyway.
I’ve isolated all the factors. I kept my diet and routines the same. As much as I want to go back to the gym now so I can start my next 5×5 strength training, I haven’t yet because of this experiment.
Anyway, I have seen some results for my hair. The whites at the front are now down to 3 strands so that’s enough of a proof for me to continue on.
One other thing that I noticed is that I haven’t gotten sick for 5 months.
I thought it was a fluke the first couple of months but it’s been 5 months and with the weather we have over here in the Philippines, it’s really easy to get a cold or just get a fever all of a sudden.
For a guy that’s pretty much stressed the whole day, I’m a pretty easy target to get sick.
Hey, I know this ain’t no miracle cure. I’m not claiming it to be one.
I’m just talking about my experience with it so far.
As for the people that emailed me about it being risky, I take a freakin’ tablespoon a day.
I don’t consume it the whole day. My coffee is pure black. I minimize my sugar intake but I do get my sugar fix when we buy a cake for baby’s monthly celebrations.
By the way, my body has now accepted it and my y’know is now back to normal and not all sticky like it was at first (Yuck)
That’s it for now. I’ll drop an update after a few more months.
